Identify the sample
Record the model, date, battery configuration, supplied accessories and specification revision. Photograph the product and packaging so feedback refers to the correct configuration.
Inspect and operate
Check finish, lens, controls, fittings and markings. Run through each listed mode and record any mismatch. Check charging and indicators using the supplier's instructions.
Verify performance evidence
Ask for test conditions and relevant reports for the claims you intend to publish. Informal observations help assess usability but do not establish a certified output, water-resistance rating or safety approval.
Document approval
Keep a list of accepted points and required corrections. Agree the reference sample, packing contents, inspection criteria and outstanding documents before production.
